With the new cartridge came THREE pairs of replacement o-rings. One pair already installed and two pairs loose in the package. At least I won't have to search for replacements.
Don't know if it's the rings fault though (yet) why this cartridge failed. As said, I attribute it to the hard water.
Residue is like a rock. I"ve already replaced the washing machine spigot cartridges 3x. One I had to actually desolder the entire part from the pipe cause the packing nut would not come off.
I imagine the spigots have to be replaced so often is because they don't get as much "exercise" as the shower ones do (once a week vs daily).
