I figured I should give a follow up since I posted it in the open forum (prostate biopsy)

I need all I can get!

I expect that my cancer will be eradicated with the radiation treatments, but there are going to be some side effects to deal with.

Just 3 more treatments and done!
When it's all done with, we expect you swinging from a tree yelling Tarzan!!! :emoji_blush:

DougE, I'm new here and don't know you, but I've been going down a similar road, still with a favorable Gleeson though, and just want to wish you all the luck, and hope this resolves without much complication.

Thankyou! I'm Gleason 3+4 ....... intermediate but favorable. I chose to treat it now rather than waiting to see if it progresses.

The urologist did a 10 or 12 core biopsy and only 1 core had any cancerous cells. My PSA was only 4.5 at that point ..... just slightly above normal. It went from 2.8 to 4.5 in a year's time, however, so the doc had me go in for the biopsy.

Wishing you the best results!
Time will tell. It'll be 4 months down the road before the docs check to see where my PSA is at. It isn't odd for it to actually go up directly after radiation, so they give things a few months to normalize.
