I figured I should give a follow up since I posted it in the open forum (prostate biopsy)

I need all I can get!

I expect that my cancer will be eradicated with the radiation treatments, but there are going to be some side effects to deal with.

Just 3 more treatments and done!
When it's all done with, we expect you swinging from a tree yelling Tarzan!!! :emoji_blush:

My days as a tree climber have been over for a long time! I don't expect the radiation treatments are going to dial me back in time to when I was a practicing arborist, but who knows. lol

DougE, I'm new here and don't know you, but I've been going down a similar road, still with a favorable Gleeson though, and just want to wish you all the luck, and hope this resolves without much complication.

Thankyou! I'm Gleason 3+4 ....... intermediate but favorable. I chose to treat it now rather than waiting to see if it progresses.

The urologist did a 10 or 12 core biopsy and only 1 core had any cancerous cells. My PSA was only 4.5 at that point ..... just slightly above normal. It went from 2.8 to 4.5 in a year's time, however, so the doc had me go in for the biopsy.

Wishing you the best results!
Time will tell. It'll be 4 months down the road before the docs check to see where my PSA is at. It isn't odd for it to actually go up directly after radiation, so they give things a few months to normalize.

4Th treatment done and one more to go. Feel a little wiped out, but I'm done till Friday.

Get some walking to keep the normal stuff moving.
No experience with the nuke me
Wishing you the best

Got the last treatment today. Now a few months wait until they start checking my PSA to see where it's at. It should fall to 0.5 eventually, but it may take 18 months to get that low.

Let's go celebrate...
Lemme see, my butt felt like I'd been eating ghost peppers about Wednesday morning (radiation Monday). If no repeat after today's treatment in a day or so, yes, I'll celebrate just for that!!

Now it's down to waiting to see what the treatment did.

Glad ya got thru all the treatments. Sure it drained you temporarily, but lights shining brightly on your path ahead.
