I just had surgery yesterday to relieve a compressed ulnar nerve in my right elbow.

I have full mobility but no lifting anything heavy. But I am sore and kinda down right now. 😞

I feel cooped up and restless. I'm not able to smoke any meat at the moment either. Which makes it all the worse.

My Papa is here helping out and I'm very grateful he was able to come out to assist.

It'll be about 8 1/2 weeks until I go back to work. Another week or so and I'll start physical therapy. Most of which will be at home.

This girl could use a little cheering up. Post up some pics of your recent smokes and your pets please.

Thank you all.

I hope these make you smile.

THE STUTTERING KITTEN FROM THE MOUTH OF A CHILD...YOU NEVER KNOW.

A teacher is explaining biology to her 3rd grade students. She says, "Human beings are the only animals that stutter."

A little girl raises her hand. saying, "I had a kitty-cat who stuttered."

The teacher, knowing how precious some of these stories could become, asked the girl to describe the incident.

"Well,'' she began, "I was in the back yard with my kitty and the Rottweiler that lives next door got a running start and before we knew it, he jumped over the fence into our yard!"

The teacher exclaimed, "That must've been scary,"

The little girl said, "It sure was. My kitty raised her back, went 'Sssss, Sssss, Sssss' and before she could say 'Shit,' the Rottweiler ate her!"

The teacher had to leave the room.

It's only a 36 x 40 house... moved 30 miles, last Thursday. I was impressed, he backed it into the 21' driveway to it's final resting spot.

Hope your recovery goes well! And remember to smile... if nothing else it makes them wonder what you are up too!

Hey, at least in Denver you can party with the chipmunks, but you'll need pops to operate the lighter!

Physical therapy is worse than surgery, I dont blame you for bieng down. I'm avoiding shoulder surgery for that reason.

But, if all is successful you'll be much better off for it!

Ah, the old cubital tunnel syndrome. Most have heard of carpal tunnel syndrome, but not cubital. Ulnar nerve decompression surgery has a high success rate, generally ranging from 75-90%. Be sure to do the physical therapy - it improves success rate.

And just why are these pups hanging around the table?

I hope your surgery is a success and your recovery is smooth. Being laid up sucks, but it could always be worse. At least you can walk around. Good to have family there for support as well.

We have two labs...here is one(not staged) chillin.

Oh man, I feel that frustration! Give your body what it needs and pat yourself on the back for that! All the 'stuff' can wait and sometimes a little enforced rest is good for the mind and soul.

I know only one joke, and it can't be told on this family friendly forum :emoji_laughing:

Highly recommend binging Theo Von podcasts and Chase Hughes; The Office, Monk, Law & Order SVU, and maybe Fleabag which is a terrible and entertaining show.

One thing that got me through a couple broken legs in the recent couple years was a Kindle. I have come to love it. Helps with bad vision too.

I agree with Abigail4476 Abigail4476 , when these things come up, its time to stop, refresh, rest, and restore. I am not one to sit around and do nothing, so I get it. But the two broken legs taught me that sometimes you dont get to choose, we have to accept where we are.

Hope you start feeling better soon. Did they move the nerve? Hopefully you enjoy TV and the internet. Physical Therapy always sucks sorry you have to go through it

Thankfully they didn't have to.
You'll appreciate this. I made this for my boys for Christmas this year...
