I assume you're right handed and that is also your wiping hand?
Hope that goes well.
Broke my dominant and also wiping hand 40+ years ago. That was clumsy.
No photos, but smoked a batch of mac-n-cheese today for our potluck down at the cabana tomorrow afternoon. You're welcome to join us.
Ah, the old cubital tunnel syndrome. Most have heard of carpal tunnel syndrome, but not cubital. Ulnar nerve decompression surgery has a high success rate, generally ranging from 75-90%. Be sure to do the physical therapy - it improves success rate.

Brother in law has had both on both sides and both shoulders. Still figuring out if he ever worked hard enough to need it.

Yes, right hand dominant. Thankfully I have full mobility and range of motion. Today was more sore than yesterday and worse than Wednesday when I had the surgery.

I had a labrum tear repair on my right shoulder in 2020 as well as my rotator cuff getting hung up on a bone spur which was worse than the labrum tear. I was fully incapacitated on my right side for quite awhile. It was tough. This hasn't been anything like that thankfully.

Hope you recover well Hannah, and like said, Dad is there to help, so let him.

Hope you took advantage of the tanning bed, lol

Keep hanging in there. Yeah it's a tough stretch but sounds like you've got it in perspective. We're all here to help keep your spirits up!

And Day 6 after surgery and I'm getting completely restless. 😬

Currently only hold with the V.A. waiting for the triage nurse. Either the wrap or the medical tape caused some type of allergic reaction. The bottom of my arm has bubbled up, is oozing puss and itches like crazy. I took Benadryl tablets. Seems to have gone down a little since last night.

I might have to go to the ER. Not sure yet.

I am all checked in. They are expediting my situation. Should be in an ER private room shortly.

They're going to get you fixed, keep your chin up kiddo! We're all pulling for ya!

Good luck MHSG.

For a little entertainment SMF does have a Jokes forum and Ray ( @sawhorseray ) is pretty good at leading the charge. Be forewarned that you need a 70s non-pc sense of humor to enjoy it.

Well hope they get it figured out and you get turned into the right direction......Just know we are all looking in on ya!

Whew!

My Surgeon just came in and saw me in the ER. It's some sort of contact/dermatitis allergy reaction.

No infection. No cellulitis. No threat. Surgical site has sealed. So we are good there.

He wants me to let it breathe. No coverings. No lotions. Shower normally, let water run over it no soap.

Wants to remove all the variables. He suspects the tape or pink bandage wrap.

The Triage nurse gave me a scare when she started talking cellulitis on the phone.

But better safe than sorry! I'm just relieved it's not an infection of sorts.
