Never been ice-fishing, but would love to go.
Just need a heated shack and stool.
CR, An insulated pop-up with a Buddy heater would do the trick ! :)

First time I went ice fishing with a buddy on a decent sunny day it sure had my attention... ice popping and cracking!
Friends of ours from Minnesota go ice fishing in their ice castle ( basically a camper on ice) , beds, gas fire place, big screen TV they can watch the fish on. Like a small town with street signs. Have beer and groceries and what not delivered.

Looks like crazymoon crazymoon has it nice though too!

No beer cooler required 😎
Actually there are times you want the beer cooler, mostly to keep the beer from freezing. took my product rep from Texas ice fishing once and he had a good time and got a better understanding of certain common things that become challenges at 0 degrees. Like timing when you got to pee because you have to plan for getting through 3 layers

Very nice! In order to catch a bass like that here you'd have to drill a hole in the ice first!

Got my PB through the ice last winter, it's at the taxidermist and of course I didn't weight or measure it. I was more concerned at getting it wrapped to freeze nicely. Made for some good excitement with a 44" ultralight, 3lb line, and small tungsten jig and she filled up the 7.5in hole once I could finally turn it's head.

Yes'sir, that's no joke right there.
While hunting, the urgency to take a crap is directly and exponentially related to how many layers of clothing you have on.

That's a pig, right there. Great fish.

There was a time in my life when I got to fish for crappie A LOT! Times change and not many opportunities to do that much anymore. But, this past week a good friend called and asked if I'd like to go. He's proficient with LiveScope and said he's been catching the heck out of them. Of course I jumped at the chance. Kept 26 with quite a few in the 1¾-2 lb. range with the biggest being 2.2 lbs. and not sure how many we threw back. Fish were caught on very small brush tops 22' deep along a river channel using 1/32 oz. jigs...
