My hubby spoiled me for my b-day with a MES electric. I am trained as a chef (but no longer work in the field) and fell in love with the ART of bbq on some trips down south. I am really enjoying experimenting. So far, so good.

I do find its kinda tough to keep the temp with the weather here being so cold and was wondering if anyone else might have some suggestions?

Looking forward to learning lots!!

firefly, evening and welcome....  Put the smoker out of the wind... Preheat it before putting in the grub.... maybe cover with an old blanker or welding blanket to be fire safe....   You should be good to go....

Glad you stopped into the forum....  Many great membersthat are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have....   enjoy the long smokey ride.....    Dave
