Hi,

I have this bbq:

It's great, heats up fast, very cosistant, wonderful flavors.

and I really want to smoke on it, do you guys have any suggestion how to do it?
I bought smoking wood and a smoke box, just not sure how to simulate an indirect fire or how to make it smoke the meat?
I know I need in general two zones, but I'd love any ideas you guys might have?

Cheers
Dory.

Whether gas or electric, it appears there is no zone heating option since all elements fire at the same time. There also does not appear to be a smoke vent in the two videos I watched. Where's the vent?

Maybe to lift the lid a little? :)
No smoke vent as far as I know.
It's gas, and works lovely, so how can we do a life hack and smoke in it?

A couple beers and some redneck engineering and I'm sure it can be done. Can you put an A-MAZ-N tube in the bottom? Use tin foil or pan to block some of the direct heat. I wish the top shelf was a bit bigger. You can certainly do a few things but it will not be a versatile as say a weber kettle.

Ya Webber has the portable one works it has like some tray with pan, I wish I could extended the top shelf a bit, then it would be ideal, not direct on the grits..
Thanks, I have a tube smoker like that, I can put it in the bottom, not sure what will happen though, but I get your thoughts, another barrier ..
