How to post a link?

I've got most (I think) of this posting thing down pretty well.

There is one thing I have no clue about.

That is how to post a link to another thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Copy the address bar of the thread to want to copy then just paste it in the comment box of the thread

In the Reply box, on the top row, right hand side is a box with 3 symbols in it.  One is a flag, one is greyed out, and the left hand one looks like a chain link.  If you click on this chain link, it will open a dialog box.  After you have copied the link from the address bar of the thread you want to link to, just paste it here and it will show up in your reply as a functioning link.  (Hope that's clear--have to admit, I don't know if it is or not).

OK I get the link copied but it doesn't work.

At the bottom of the page is a choice....   MOBILE / DESKTOP......    are you using the correct software for you particular computer....
