When you @mention someone in a post, it notifies them directly about that post.

Say someone posts a recipe but doesn't give the amounts and you want to get some clarification.

You could send them a private message but the easier thing to do is just reply within that recipe with an @mention.

Like this..

TulsaJeff TulsaJeff can you clarify the amounts in this recipe. It looks amazing and I'm wanting to try it. Thanks!

Type an @ sign to start then the first few letters of the username of the person you want to mention and a box will pop up.

Click on the name of the person you want to mention and type the rest of your message.

When you submit the post, it will notify them that about that mention and they will be able to pop back into the forum and help you out.

Easy peasy!

@ bmudd14474 doesn't work but take the spaces out and it works great bmudd14474 bmudd14474 or SmokinAl SmokinAl or TulsaJeff TulsaJeff very handy if you want to make sure a member sees the post you made

Works great and I even got an email notification😀

See, even some of the members that have been here awhile are learning stuff! Was gonna call them older members but didn't want to offend any of the old geezers! JK! :emoji_blush:
