How much Wood

I am using a Masterbuilt 30 in. LP smoker.  I started with 11/2 cups of mesquite chips presoaked and am using the 3-2-1 method for spareribs.  My question is how often/how much wood should I add to the smoker during this process.  Thank you in advance for a response to my question.

256, morning....  that is a lot of mesquite..... I find a little mesq. and a fruitwood mix ...  As far as how much to add, in the MES elec. I added 1/4 cup of chips at one time.... about every 45 min or so.....    Dave

Smoke during the 3 step but after you foil on the 2 step smoke isn't necessary anymore.

I have found that a little Mesqute goes a long way, and always mix with a lighter wood.

Thank you fellas for the help.  I certainly do appreciate it.  went out today and got some cherrywood to mix with the mesquite so will see how that goes.  Thanksgiving will consist of a smoked ribeye roast, so wish me luck.  Hope you all have a splendid thanksgiving:)
