How much jalapeno powder?

I've been using J&C's jalapeno cheddar summer sausage recipe and love it. It calls for diced jalapenos. I have a bunch of dried and powdered jalapenos. How much powder should I start out with for 5#s of sausage? Don't want to blow the wife's doors off! Not sure if this should be under peppers or sausage.

1teaspoon Jalapeño powder is approximately equal, heat and flavor, to one 3-4" Fresh Jalapeño or 2Tbs Diced Jalapeño...JJ

I use 1 teaspoon per 5 lbs in my snack sticks. They have some bite but not enough to hurt anyone.
