with a smoker. I have been messing around with our BGE, have had the grill temperature at a steady 161*. Nothing is on it right now, just messing around with it....
 
depends on what your cooking.

If your smoking cured sausage 160 is a good temp

I offer the 'play and learn your Smoker ' as a suggestion , often and they contact me with great success .

I also suggest starting a "LOG BOOK" of all your cooks ,good or bad . A very good teaching aid . Levels the learning curve quickly . . .

Ditto on the "LOG BOOK", that is one of the reasons  I started a website, my log book would make War and Peace look like cliff notes lol
