How long in the fridge?

How long can a beef brisket stay in the fridge after I injected and put Jeff's rub over it? I made it last night planing on smoking it today by may have a change of plans.

A few days is fine if it's just a normal injection and not a brine. If it was a brine injection it would be too salty.

Well i guess the first question is how old was the brisket in the first place? I would not see there being a problem if you just recently got it and had the change of plans but if it's already been sitting in the fridge for a few days then maybe a problem.

Injection was beef broth with a few TBS of Jeff's rub. I just bought them yesterday.
