And if that doesn't work and ya haven't cut them up yet ya might try simmering them in water. Put a pot on the stove with cold water, place the sausage in and turn the heat up to a simmer , but not over 180*
cook them till they're firm (like 120 - 140) and stick them on the sticks.
Thats how fresh cooked sausage and hot dogs are done. well up to the stick part
