We as a family draw names for the acults and buy them one thing. Then the kids we buy alot for and we have alot of grand kids. We have 10 grandkids so theres alot of wrapping going on down here. But I did get a new sausage stuffer thou.

I have to tell you that I applaud your work...On Christmas Eve, we were having a heck of a storm and it was supposed to stay that way for several days. Our power started flickering and then it went out. I knew right away that we may be in for a long weekend with all of the ice that was on the lines. A few hours later, the house was already down to mid 50's and I was preparing an emergenty plan to drain water lines if I had to and also care for the outside hot tub when the power came back on. Thanks to someone else that was working late Christmas Eve, Mrs. Engineer and I had a warm house and all of the creature comforts that we are so accustomed to.

Santa treated me very well!

First off, I got to play a church gig. Got the call two days before the show. GOt there an hour prior, went over the stuff with the bandleader... it went very well. Lotsa fun; I hope that happens more in the future.

Then on Xmas itself, I got to give some great gifts. Just inspirations in the moment that worked out for the recipients. That's the best! Also got to host a great party and serve some great grub.

Now on to what I got.... I really didn't want anything. My reasoning being that last year I got a smoker that is actually my 4th grill, how much more stuff could I possibly want? So I told wife "If anyone asks, just get me a couple cases of beer or something".

I ended up receiving a beer-brewing kit, along with a crossbow and a vacuum food sealer.

For someone who didn't really want anything, those are three awesome gifts.

No complaints here. The kids were happy and that is what matters.

On the cooking front, I got 4 more pieces of All-Clad Stainless cookware, King Kooker 3 burner camp stove, and some lump charcoal.

My 9 yr old daughter thought it was real funny that I got "a lump of coal" for Christmas (it was from her).
