I know.. way off topic, but like many of you, I have other hobbies. One of them is collecting Hot Wheels. My primary focus is on fire trucks and ambulances and other emergency / rescue vehicles. Having just retired from my fire department with 20 years of service, I find myself with more free time for this hobby. Curious if any of you collect/trade as well?

Great memories playing with hot wheel cars! We had a bunch growing up. My brothers and I would get the m for Christmas and Birthdays! My favorite was the Monarch police car!

I still have them stored away. Every once in awhile I will look for a Scout Hot Wheels at Walmarts.
I know Johnny Lightning makes a Scout. Got one of those. But, yea, you can say I still collect and look for Hot Wheel cars!

There's a couple different JL Scouts out there! My favorite of those right now is the 79 International Scout II Midas addition that's dark green with a yellow lightning bolt pattern on the side. I also have a Maroon Metallic one.

Greenlight, which are sold at Hobby Lobby have a few Scouts too. Matchbox has a few as well.

We used to play with them also. My favorites were the sizzlers. Unfortunately I gave them as well as my GI Joe collection to the neighborhood kids when I got older. I had the jeep trailer combo spotlight, and the space capsule.

I wasn't familiar with the Sizzlers, but a quick Google search enlightened me.. thank you for that!

No problem, thanks for the memory. The charging station looked like a gas pump.

Chris

It does! Took me a minute to sort out what was going on there!

Still have some 67' redlines. A few matchbox and a few lindsey's.
I need to get a wind up Schuco again!

I have a whole plastic tub full of the Nascar stuff in the blister packs and the better Racing Champion came in a small box .
I might get into it today to see what's in there .

very cool to see the older ones!
When you're old , you tend to have old stuff . Lol . I have more of the redline ? I think that's what they call them . Red stripe on the tires . I have a 1970 Red Baron with the metal helmet that I can't find , and one of the first VW bugs without the sunroof . I'll have to look in my son's collection in the basement . I can post up the Red lines I have .
