Just some quick chicken on the grill tonight, weather is getting better and wanted to try out the Mad Hunky Hot Whang rub. Did half just rub, the rest was honey and rub, going for a sweet hot combo. Gotta say it was pretty darn good both ways.

Looks good from here man!

Mad hunky, huh?

Might have to give it a try.

Thanks guys, they tasted real good. I really liked the honey and rub, I'm a big fan of "sweet hot". I just started trying the Mad Hunky rub and while I like making my own rubs I like having those ones in the cupboard for those quick cooks. This one was good enough that I just might keep it on hand and use it most of the time, we really liked it. I'm also experimenting with the grill grates, so far it's been fish on the grate side, steaks on the flat side and now the chicken, again on the grate side. Add that to the fact that the grill is new and it's going to be a few cooks to get as comfortable as I was on the old equipment, but I'm getting there fast and the food is tasting great.

I really liked the honey and rub, I'm a big fan of "sweet hot". I spent most of my life near Toledo, Ohio, just moved away eight years ago for work. My favorite "sweet hot" are the Sweet and Hot Pickles from Tony Packo's in Toledo. Whenever we get back home we hit a Kroger store and buy a bunch of jars to stock up at home.

We can do that!  I have a cheese processor just down the road from the house, we get fresh cheese curd and all kinds of cheeses not only for ourselves but for family in Florida.  Let me figure out the PM thing and we'll go from there ...... oh yeah, the ones I like are actually called Sweet Hots.
