I made a double batch of Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream today.

This came out so fluffy and delightful, with hearty chunks of strawberry.

That looks amazing...bookmarked!!!
Yum!!!
I need to buy another ice cream maker, ours didn't make here when we moved in a few yrs ago, I think my wife tossed it without me knowing.
I love making homemade ice cream in the dead of summer, it brings me back to my childhood up at the cabin on Clear Lake, in Norcal.

Thank you.
Dan.

Not sure I've ever eaten "fluffy" ice cream before? Cotton candy, yes, but not ice cream. I'll break ours out in the summer, way too cold at the moment. I like to make plain old vanilla ice cream and add some homemade English toffee broken up into tiny bits. Which means I have to make the toffee first, let it cool down, and smash it up first. My wife would love the strawberry, me not so much.

This was almost like whipped cream fluffy. Mmmmm so good!

Use this recipe but adapt for your toffee. You'll love it.

I will take a quadruple scoop please

Very nice Hannah! That looks amazingly delicious! I’d sure take a few hefty scoops with some Nilla Wafers as dippers.

Those electric ones are the way to go. My parents had a hand-crank one that was no fun at all, when the kids had to "earn their keep" by cranking.
My mother loved homemade ice cream, so we made a lot of it when I was a boy. Not only did I turn the crank, mom would freeze blocks of ice in milk cartons that I had to bust up. However, the ice cream made with raw milk with cream on top that we got directly from a nearby dairy made great ice cream.

After I left home my parents bought an electric maker. I have the White Mountain maker in storage that Mom had when she passed in 2021.

Great looking ice cream.

Lol! I had forgotten about that. Yeah, my mom did that, too, The old, aluminum ice trays with the handle on top didn't make enough ice for that purpose.

That looks great. I like making my own ice cream. A few years ago I bought a more modern Ice cream maker and it has worked out pretty well. 1.6 quarts. Just plug it in and let it work.

The closest one to that is strawberry gelato.

Still have my grandparents old hand crank unit. Use to get it out and make ice cream about once a year when the nieces and nephews were younger. They would start cranking which didn't last long and then I would finish up for them .😄 Great fun . . .
