As some of you already know, I have been separated from my family for over 21 months now as my wife had to go back to MO to take care of our oldest. Well, as things go, it took much longer than expected and me finding suitable employment back there was not an easy thing at all.

Well, praise God, we will finally be reunited just before Christmas! Last Friday I received a call from a head hunter about a resume I posted well over a year ago for a job in Bridgeton, MO (10 miles from the house). I told her I'd be interested in an interview and she then set it up for Monday. The guy called and we went over my skills and such and he was quite impressed and told me that unless the other candidate "wowed" him more than I did, then the job would be mine. Later that day I received an offer and accepted it.

I leave Oregon on the 20th of December and should be home for Christmas without any problem! Ahhh...finally! Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Very Awesome. Congratulations. Sounds like a celebration smoke is in order.

I don't know if I'd be happy moving from Oregon to Minnisota in the winter, but re-uniting with your family will take the the sting out of that cold climate.

My kids live in Ottawa, an equally cold place in the winter, stifling humid in the summer. I visit only in the spring and fall, don't got to hit me with a brick. no matter how fun it would be.

Congrats Mr Mac. It will be great for you to be reunited with the family for Christmas.

I have a phone interview tomorrow, my first nibble since July. I'm hoping for the same Christmas blessing you got. Best wishes to you!

CONGRATULATIONS to you, and I know you all will be having a very merry Christmas! Glad you pulled through the rough times and your faith, perserverance and spirit paid off. I hope the new year brings you and your family the best.

Believe me, my prayers are going up for you right now!

As for a homecoming smoke, well that'll be Christmas dinner with a 12 pound bird in my ECB (unless I decide to grab my new Smoke Vault)!
