we should be thinking on how to smoke that turky and stuffing and all that jazz, FALL is almost on us, how about a smoked pumpkin pie and such, something to think about its that time of year ya know,, as Alten Brown would say romancing the bird

A favorite around my place is a smoked chicken pate'. I'll get a package of thighs, and a whole roaster bird, brine 'em and smoke 'em. Then, I'll make pate' of everything but the breast, which I carefully de-bone and slice razor thin and use as a centerpiece over the pate' with a sprig of rosemary or two.

I'm gone to shoot for Jalapeno chipotle flavored pumkin seeds smoked in mesquite. Sweet tater pie using smoked sweet taters.

MMM always wanted to but never tried making sweet tater pie. Although I have made an excellent sweet potato soup. MMM you gave me an idea. Maybe smoke the tater and use them to make the soup.

You are right, turkey day will be here before you know it and it's time to start thinking about smoked bird and all the smoke realted fixings to go with it.

I love sweet potatoe pie! Most people up in the northeast here prefer pumpkin but not me - I'd rather it be sweet potatoe pie! I've been thnking about smoking a sweet potatoe pie with crumbled bacon in it.

I tnk you guys got me hooked on bacon!

I'll be visiting family out in Michigan Thanksgiving weekend... they requested I do my "infamous" deep fried turkey... so there prolly won't be any smokin' done that weekend, unless I decide to bring the ECB along for the ride... hmmm...
