Funny . Had this house built in 2006 . Came with GE range and dishwasher . Replaced the range 2 (?) years ago , it was still working . I did replace the oven element , but the dishwasher is still going strong , no issues . I'm not praising GE , just got the life out of what I have / had for sure .

You got the life out of them for sure. I suspect 2006 was before that moved all the manufacturing to wherever the new crappy ones are made.

Ordered a Breville toaster oven / air fryer to get us through. It was 25% off. Ive wanted one, my wife doesnt think she likes appliances on the counter - unless its the mixer (no idea🤦‍♂️). With the oven down for the count, perfect excuse! I think we are gonna use it a lot.

Never tried or used an air fryer, but sounds fun. With all my cardiac stuff that came up over the last couple years...is there a "healthier french fry"? I do love real fried ones but seems like a poor choice given the expensive meds Im on to keep the arteries in better shape. Who knows?

An air fryer is just a small convection oven in roast mode. They work very good for smaller cooks or two people.

You'll like that .
I bought a 360 back when John was doing cooks with his , then bought a Ninja 6 + 1 .
Don't use the 360 much , if at all .
The Ninja got a work out , and does a great job .
The range I just bought has an air fry setting . Different cycle of the fans than the convection setting . I do a lot of stuff in there . Makes great fried chicken .

So using the Ninja has slowed down too , but there's times when I use it and the oven .
I keep it just off the kitchen , and set it up when I want to use it .

I do fries in both set to air fry . Key for me it to soak the starch out , then dry at a low temp before cranking the heat .
Make potato chips in the Ninja . Also wings , and hot dogs . Counter top oven / fryers are handy .
