Hi all,
I got a very inexpensive vertical charcoal smoker a couple years ago. I’ve always found it difficult to keep the temp steady and didn’t like the small amount of space for food in it. As a result, I haven’t really used it near as much as I should have.
So, I ordered a MasterBuilt electric smokehouse last week (30” square, insulated, door on the side). I’m hoping with the ease of use, and vastly more capacity than I had in the past, my enthusiasm will be sparked, and I will do much more with this one than with the old one. Someday, once the kids have grown up and moved out, and I have more time on my hands, I’ll get a larger charcoal or wood smoker and really get down to business, but for now, this seems like the best way to really get into it with the time and effort I have available.
I only just found the site, and have already seen several interesting threads and articles. Thanks in advance for all the great info.
