Just ran accross this site and have spend the last few minutes plundering around, followed by signing up. Got to get back to work but, before I do a couple of things about me along with a big wish that you guys will accept me into your group.

I'm 70, love to hunt, fish and cook what we kill or catch, as well as, anything else normal southeastern country boys cook. My equipment ranges from a one quart sauce pan to a sixty quart pot and a small portable grill to a trailer type whole hog cooker that I have had longer than the wife of 48 years. My preference in BBQ Bast & Sauce is Vinegar/Pepper based. I saw a 2011 thread where you NC boys were talking about having a get-together. Then the thread stopped. Did you ever get it together? Are you planning one for 2013 or 2014?

Any of you live up in the New Bern area, Hertfort, Edenton, Elizabeth City, Columbia areas? If you do, I would really appreciate a heads up on whether the Bream Fish and or Shellcrackers are biting yet. We always make a three, four or more fishing trips up in that area each year.

Thanks

Jeff offers a free 5 day E-Course.  It's packed with great information to use...no matter what your experience level might be!  http://www.smoking-meat.com/smoking-basics-ecourse

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

Also....it can be a bit confusing sometimes to post the "q-views" or pictures in your threads.  Here is a link that Dave did that explains it in a easier way. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/125263/how-to-upload-a-photo-q-view-to-your-post

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!
