this is actually my second thread.....the first was what to do with left over water/grease from the water tray...
I was told to come here and socialize.
I just started smoking back in the fall.
I have a brinkman ECB that is exactly what I wanted and got at a yardsale for $10.00
It's the gormet version which has a slightly different coal tray and it works wonderful.I just added another tray. I use lava rocks that I had laying around to lift the grate so the ash drops cleanly.
shoots up to 275 easily and tends to stay there...I keep the hatch door open when i need to drop the temp after i get the initial smoke.
I picked up a Landmann vertical box with propane, to help out a buddy who needed some cash.
I've done ribs twice. nothing to special so that needs work
beer can chicken (awesome)
turkey breast pretty darn good.
stuffed pork loin that is jaw dropping good.
so I've been doing this since about October with time off for cold weather so I know I have tons to learn but have tons of time.
thanks for the welcome.
