I have the only speaker system I have ever bought for a computer. I have had this same set since 1999. I bought it at best Buy for $99.99, + tax, of course. It is an Alter Lansing system- two sats and a sub. It is white, and the sub has a 6" driver, with a port facing the rear. It sounds really good, and can play pretty loud.

One time, when one of my brother's lived at a college campus here, we would take our pc's to his house and network them together for some Red Alert head-to-head action. One of his neighbors called the cops, said we were partying. My bro told the cops, "Nope, just playing video games". I didn't realize, until that day, just how loud they can get.

Wow! That looks like just what I need!! Thank you for the link Blackhawk!

I have some custom built in-walls sporting the older JBL 2208 8"'s and 2205 5"'s, with titanium dome tweets. Modded X-overs to all mylar caps and and re-wound coils to trim response to speaker/cab Vas specs. Driven by a bi-amp setup, 150W/ch to 8's, 75W/Ch to 5's-tweets. And a seperate 12" dual voicecoil custom build sub, low pass active filter at 120Hz driven by 250W mono amp. Can't HAVE windows. I hate puny speakers!
