No typo, 13 gallons will last almost a year on a sailboat. All you use it for is getting in and out of the slip and to run the generator for power.

A 27 foot hunter is a nice boat. My brother had one with a shoal draft when I lived in cocoa beach.
Lots of fun but the live aboard thing is very questionable.
Where would you put your swimming pool Jim?????
BTW we had dock space behind our houses and no tides to contend with.
