It's coming down pretty good here in DFW right now. Looks like we'll get our annual 1 -3" just in time for a white Christmas. That's pretty rare in these parts. We're hunkered down and enjoying it. It will probably all be gone by noon tomorrow.

Yup it's great, freezin rain yesterday mornin, then near on ta a blizzard. Started rainin at dark last night an still rainin (rain storm in Iowa at the end a December?), gonna turn ta snow with a possibility of 12 inchs.

Wen't out with the snow blower, pushed, not blow, slop outa the drives so when the snow does come it's not a complete disaster!

Bought another 100 pounds a ice melt yesterday, with what I got on hand, sure hope it's enough!

We had 8" the first time, and 9" last Saturday here in PA. That's enough---Seems the older I get, the quicker I get tired of the white nuisance.

Hey Mike,

All the snow we got up here in Enid must have blown down there. The grass is still sticking up through what snow we've got. I've got a buddy that was going from Tulsa to Edmond. I last talked to him about forty minutes ago. He'd been stopped on the Turner just east of I-35 for almost four hours.

Too bad you can't send some of that to Buffalo, we only have a dusting and calling for rain or freezing rain tomorrow. Don't look good for a White Christmas here, will be the first time in years I think.

The weatherman just said that OKC has received 14" since 5 a.m. That is the third largest snow on record for them. It looks pretty treacherous down there. The killer was the 30 mph sustained winds that were gusting to 50.

Yep... all the turnpikes are closed. People are calling in on the radio that don't know where they are... sounding kind of desperate for some.

We were sitting here in our warm house complaining that we didn't have any cookies, so we jumped in the car and started for town. 1/2 mile down the road we dicided to turn back. We couldn't even see our own tire tracks we had made only seconds earlier. It's pretty bad. Once we got back inside we decided that hot cocoa without cookies wasn't too bad after all. Actually, once we got back we found that we've got the stuff to make sugar cookies, so we are going to whip up a batch.

It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow. Cold, but sunny. I will be dusting off the smoker for Christmas ribs and shrimp. Merry Christmas friends and neighbors... stay warm!

That looks nasty. I don't know what East Ohio suppose to get. At one point they say freezing rain then it's snow and wind. Actually, we usually get nothing and it goes all around me here.

It's raining here on top of the 2 inches of snow that we already had. It's 34 degrees. I think I better call the kids and tell them to just stay home. Be safe.
