When responding to posted threads there is an edit button at the bottom of your thread if corrections or additions need to be made to your post. Makes it easy to make any corrections if necessary.

But with Conversations there is an Edit Conversation button at the top of the page which only allows you to edit the title of the Conversation. Does anyone know how to make corrections or additions to the text portion of the Conversation after it has been posted?

Thanks,

John

Maybe....
If you select Reply to your original Conversation Post, you could edit what is in that text.
Then send the edited conversation.

But I don't know that you can unsay something after you done said it.:eek:;):D:p

Edit in:
It is kind of nice to be able to edit a post later on, though.
Sometimes I think of more detail or clarifications to add.
But usually will begin with "Edit In:", so it's apparent it has been added.

You have only a short time to edit conversations . It should work the same as a comment edit. Just that you must edit within a couple minutes .
After a minute or 2 your edit option disappears

Nope. . . . . .That doesn't work.

Well, that isn't very useful!

Can anything be done to allow edits to be made beyound two minutes?

John

I don't think so. Guess you just state the mistake in another message under the last one. & Explain the mistake

Well only being allowed to edit the title of a Conversation is completely useless as far as I am concerned.

Frankly, I think when the sight was revamped that the option to only edit the title was a mistake. I believe that the Edit Conversation Button should have been meant for the text body and this oversight went undetected.

Perhaps someone should look into this.

Thanks,

John

Check your PM's for an egg-zample, John. ;)

Checked it and discovered that modifications to Conversations can only be made within five minutes but the title can be edited anytime.

Again. . . . That is just useless! I really hope someone would look into this.

I never knew you could edit them within 2 or 5 minutes either, once you click "Send".
Kinda like Email.

I just send another one with the correction noted, but I'm just a Computer Dummy!!

Considering we are no longer using floppy discs and modems this situation should not exist in this day and age.

Would be nice to have it rectified.
