Just joined smf. I was given a brinkmen smoke and grill and last night I smoked my first chicken didn't know what I was doing but it turned out great. I just kept the temp gauge in the idea range and cooked the bird for three hours and the internal temp hit 180 degrees. I had to add chips once, I used a old cast iron frying pan to hold wood chips it worked well.
