I found this site about a month ago and am blown away by the knowledge and support here. I started a search in Google for " building a smoker from a propane tank" and found this wonderful site.

I was inspired to build my own smoker and after a weeks search I found a 100 gallon propane tank to start with.

I can't wait to start my build and thread about it and enjoy the meats of my labor.

I live outside of Richmond VA in Midlothian and am lucky enough to have convinced my parents to move here as well from Asheviile NC which is where Ilived for almost 20 years before getting a job here with Capital One. My father is a heck of a welder and we'll make a good team on the build.
