Well the peppers are ready! I didn't have room to smoke tomatoes which I use to make the sauce. Gonna load up the smoker now with chicken for dinner tonight & will smoke a few tomatoes at the same time. Pics coming!
There it is! Really nice kick to it. Home grown & made are always the best. I had about 25 red jalapenos & 2 tomatoes that I smoked. Added lil water, lime juice & cider vinegar. Threw it all in a blender then strained. Added a lil more vinegar to taste. It will be my base for stuff like the light chipotle mayo & my favorite chipotle smokey sauce for pulled pork. Will make a batch of chipotle ketchup with it next time I have 15 or more tomatoes to make ketchup with.
