Newbie here too also living in Sweden 'American in Sweden.' Here is a picture of the smokehouse I just finished here in Sweden. I don't have building plans for ir but it has worked flawlessly. Rick if you are anywhere Southern Sweden you are welcome to look at it for ideas. I knocked down a wall in this 100 year old house and I felt too bad to throw the bricks out so I built the smokehouse. The wood burner is 5 feet from where I hang the racks so it has worked well. Above the wood burner I put baskets and regular BBQ grates so I can use it as a normal BBQ.

Hello Rick,
Welcome to the forum. I spent a year and a half in Stockholm (mid 95 through 96) doing some telecommunications contract work. I met some really great people ... some of whom I'm still in contact with. Great place.
Again, welcome to the forum. And by the way, reindeer might be a good meat to smoke. I know I ate a lot of it while I was there.
