Hi everyone, I found this forum searching the Google. I just bought my first smoker yesterday (just a cheap one for the time being). I've been cooking since I was about 10 years old, I don't have a specific style just like to cook in general. I'm a very picky eater which is why I picked up a knife and started to cook. When I'm not cooking, or working I am either playing with my computer or fixing a friends computer, working on my car (2000 Camaro Z28) or just sitting back with a drink playing a video game/watching TV, or lifting weights in the gym (I love power lifting even though I can't do it much anymore). I'm 23 going to college for Computer Science, and working on getting a personal training certification. I joined the US Army at 17 was an infantryman for a few years than switched and did Military Intelligence, deployed to Afghanistan Aug 2010, and actually just got out a few months ago. I am new to smoking, but not new to cooking. Like my title says I am from Iowa so I have access to some very good pork, steak, and corn , amongst numerous other things. I hope you guys help me out on my smoking adventure and possible lead me to a BBQ competition. Thanks Guys.
