Hello all. My name is Matt. Im located in Jenks, OK. Just got my Father's Day present early, a MES 40". Best wife ever! I'm new to the smoked meat scene and have been browsing recipes and techniques in the forums. Lots of great threads to read. Signed up for the ecourse last night. Still have to get my new toy out of the box and seasoned but hoping to head out later to grab some meats to smoke tomorrow. Any suggestions on a first easy meat to try? Thanks to any replies, get to meet you all. Looking forward to a great summer!

For your 1st run....either do Chickens...they are not that pricey...or a Butt for pulled pork....very forgiving!
