  1. Hey everyone,

My name is Eric (can you tell? haha). I am relatively new to smoking, but more-so I'm a newbie to posting on the SMF. I live in Norwood, Massachusetts, a small town about 20 mins from Boston. I currently smoke my meat on a "ECB Smoke N' Grill" which has the norm modifications to it. It's been real reliable and extremely fun to use. I've smoked maybe a few chicken odds and ends, baby back ribs once, a beef chuck and about 3 pork butts. Damn do I love a good pulled pork sandwich. =)  The ribs and the chuck didn't come out as I would've liked. Beef IMO seems to cook a lot faster than the pork (possible the thickness??) so I missed the 190f mark on the chuck. Anyways, other things I enjoy are music, be it playing or listening. I personally like to say I play the drums, but I'm not all that great haha. I also love a good ol' glass of whiskey...

Looking forward to some great conversations!

  4. hey thanks guys! I'll get some pics up as soon as I find the time to upload them haha.
  5. I wanted to add a few photos of my smoker so here it is! It's got all the usual modification (therms, outside legs, a few holes in the char pan, a bottom grate that the charcoal sits on handles added to grate which you can't see in the pics) and a "stir fry grill pan" at the bottom so I can easily pick up the charcoal pan. Surprising the handle on the pan have never gotten hot, so it's great for dumping out ash after hours and hours of smoking. This is honestly a fantastic smoker now that holds a 225-250f for about 45-60 mins without me touching it. =) I alway use Royal Oak lump charcoal and I like to use mesquite chunks or more recently mini logs. [IMG]   Any questions, please ask!
