My name is Tom and I am a bar b q snob....

I recently bought a new house and have decided this spring I will begin a multi year project to build an outdoor kitchen.  I say multi year because of costs really.  Get an overall plan and then a little each year.  Who knows maybe faster.  The current plan continues to develop, but we're looking @ a 5' x 10' kitchen with a wood fired oven on one end (hence the multi year part of the project) a counter area, and a smoker/charcoal grill area on the other side.  It might end up being a seperate smoker and charcoal grill.

Anyway in my searches I've come across here to learn what others are doing, and eventually to get some cooking tips.

Welcome tom!  Happy to have you here.  And as you've already found out, there is loads of information here to help with your cooking and kitchen build!  The search button at the top of the page will be your friend.

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.
