Hi everyone,
I'm a complete novice at BBQ but after years of looking longingly at proper BBQ on tv and failing to get anywhere near with gas and charcoal grills, I have just puchased my first offset smoker (Landmann Kentucky Smoker) and I'm ready to try my hand at smoking.
I'm in Guernsey in the Channel Islands (sort of UK but not exactly and with better weather!!)
I would appreciate any help or tips on how to get started, I have already got briquettes and wood chips, a charcoal starter and a Maverick double probe remote thermometer. What I really need now are practical tips on the technical aspects and, most importantly, any good beginner recipes or an idea of what to try first.
Thanks in advance
David
