I just found this board and wanted to introduce myself. Ive been bbq'ing for about 7 years now with a Weber Smokey Mountain and recently invested in a bbq guru which will allow me to make jerky on the smoker without much hassle.

We just got back on friday from friends in Canada. He gave me some jerky he made using a dehydrator and mix from Nesco. My wife insisted I start making jerky on the spot.

I picked up some jerky mix and a dehydrator for ease. Im looking forward to many batches of jerky.

Welcome to smf Pierce. I've made alot of jerky with the dehydrator and nesco mix. The best one I think is the hot and spicy mix. Good stuff.
