Been smoking on and off for 8+ years. We have moved twice in the last year and a half and I was sad to see my little crappy (but amazingly functional) electric/ charcoal smoker didn’t survive the move, so i got a MES to replace it. Still learning the ins and outs and decided to pick up an a-maze-in pellet accessory. Anybody have any words of wisdom before I chuck this pork arm in there Sunday? Kinda curious and excited about this gadget.

Welcome from up north! As far as advice for new smoke, first order is a good burn in. Run wide open for a few hours. Use the AMNPS too and give the interior a good seasoning and get used to using it. Takes some learning to properly light and adjust carb (chip loader). Search for pellicle and do it for your smokes.

Welcome from Trumbull County Ohio. I am also a newbie to smoking but I have an MES 230G and the pellet tray. It is a learning experience! What model do you have?
