Hi all, I,m from Fish Hoek, a village on the Cape Peninsular near Cape Town, South Africa, I got involved in smoking a few years back when I first began smoking the fish I caught, Tuna, Barracuda etc, a friend and I had a few beers one day and ended up buying a couple of pigs which has gone from a hobby to a small urban farm with +- 70 pasture raised hogs.
With all this meat on the hoof I decided to try my hand at brineing and smoking the piggies so I built myself an Ugly Drum Smoker and did my first pulled pork a couple of days ago, turned out great and now I am looking for more information on smoking methods.
I hope to find that info here on the forum.
