Thanks everyone, you're all WAY too kind.

I made some adaptations to the "Bodger's Delight" cold smoking setup today, and nearly blew myself up in the process

While i was gatting a smal fire of applewood sticks going in a converted pineapple rings can, the small butane camping cooker, that I had been using the day before to smoke my cheese, was sitting about 3 feet away. Unbeknownst to me, it had a gas leak. Next thing i knew the thing was spewing flame and rolling around the floor of the greenhouse like some demented self-propelled bunsen burner.

Not being one to panic, I shrieked like a girl and ran for it. I tried throwing a bucket of water at it but that didn't work. At least it dampened everything else down, so nothing else caught fire. In the end I just left it to burn itself out, which it did with a fairly impressive pop and a huge jet of flame as the top blew off it.

Needless to say, that slowed down my smoking activities a bit, so now the fillet of Bass and 2 Pollack fillets will not be done until quite late this evening. I'll post some pics of Bodger's Delight Mk2 in another thread a bit later.

Yeeesh!
