I haven't smoked in 2 years. Wife had a mini me and with her night shifts and the afore mentioned mini me, didnt really have the time or the time or the time. Now he is old enough to stay away from the smoker and let me cook on the grill. My 4 year old daughters birthday this weekend and having a big family cook out. smoking a fatty, bird on the throne, and some corn on the cob. Grilling some drum sticks, burgers, and hotdogs with potato salad, taco salad, and some watermelon, tomato, and mint salad. Looking forward to a kick a** meal! Bring the TBS!

WOW 2 years. That sucks. But the only thing that matters is that your back. Cant wait to see the results.   Also congrats on the "mini me"

Holy SMOKERS!!!!!!!!!! 2 years?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

More than 1 week about drives me stir-crazy! LOL!!!

Sounds like you're gonna kick things off with a big bang, though. Have fun, enjoy the smoke, and most definitely enjoy your family!

Welcome back to the thin blue smoke...may you have many more, soon!

Eric

Welcome back. Sorry to hear you were gone from the addiction for so long, but it was for a good reason. I hope the 4 year old has a Very Happy Birthday and let Mini-me help when possible!!

Dang two years! I stick my head in the drum and breath deep if I cant smoke at least once a week. I'm sure it will all come back to you. Congrats.

I Have not been on SMF for quite a while due to a teensy heart problem. ( solved by putting a new stent in my Heart ) but even so I did quite a bit of smoking during that time. I smoke hotdogs and ABT's on my little Cobb cooker. In actual fact most of the work was done by my Son who came over quite often when I was sick and set the Cobb up for me. I have almost fully recovered now and Yesterday I did ribs on the MES for the first time since last fall. I'm not really supposed to eat the dogs or the ribs but who's gonna tell?

A very few years from now your Mini Me will suddenly be helping out on the smoker and before you know it will be taking over every chance He gets. It seems to happen over night.
