just wondering if anybody knows if someone has wrote a technical book about designing reverse flow smokers and sizing them properly. it seems there is a lot of knowledge out there but it's not really all together in 1 easy to access place.

I don't know if he has written a book or not, but bbally has built a couple, has an engineering background and can tell you pretty much anything you need to know.

kool, thanks! i was thinking maybe i would investigate possibly writing a reference guide for designing a few different types of smokers. mostly getting into the most frequently asked questions. i know whoever designed the firebox calculator sure made my life easier. maybe i can do the same for other people on here and take it 1 step farther.

Here's a link to a smoker plan that I have used for my current build. (Details to follow this week sometime) It isn't reverse flow, but is very detailed in it's descriptions. You may be able to get ideas from this guy's approach that you would want to incorporate into your project.
