The Cowboy State - Wyoming
Anyone cooking some sausage to celebrate?

Looks like 6 more weeks of winter according to my forecast.

Love winter - just wish it would start here. been SUPER dry in Utah. making pulled pork stuffed avocados here.

Happy groundhog Day.

Ironically - that is how I refer to my job...and part of the reason leaving is getting easier. S.O.S. just keeps coming around.

No sausage here either, but watching Groundhog Day!

February 2nd is not a Minnesota event.
Be around 2-3 months before we see spring.
Pulling out the kettle tomorrow to grill supper before the coming week of "it sucks" weather below zero
Isn't that the truth! Seen weather forecast for next week here, talking lows at night of 20 below and that don't include windchills. Won't be seeing any groundhogs here!

I live about an hour from Punxsutawney, nice town. This years event from Gobbler's Knob being Virtual, is really putting a Hurtin' on the local businesses that make Big $$$, with the Ground Hog Day and associated events and tourism. I feel sorry for those people. Hope next year is better...JJ

Same here.... mid march in Wyoming can be wicked, but the 6-weeks story is folklore that sort of stuck.

Our state's official groundhog "Lander Lil" died quite a few years ago, so they commissioned a bronze statue that sits in a park next to the post office, which is about 150 miles west of my city. There was a confirming "shadow" photo this morning. I don't think they did any events either.
