Happy Easter to the SMF community.
So what's on the menu for this traditional day of family gatherings? Don't forget to post photos if you have them.
Our family gathering will be at my 85 year old aunts house today. The menu is divided up between the families but we always bring something extra. Our block of food this year included the following:

Our family gathering will be at my 85 year old aunts house today. The menu is divided up between the families but we always bring something extra. Our block of food this year included the following:
- Double Smoked Ham - 10 pounder spiral sliced ham, spritzed with mix of apple juice, dark syrup and jack daniels through the reheat. Smoked over oak natural lump with two chunks of pecan wood.
- Pimento Cheese sandwiches - these are a family tradition and over the years the others have decided my recipe is their favorite. They check me at the door to make sure I have them every time (not sure what would happen if I forgot to bring them - it could e ugly). Scratch recipe and will be spread on potato bread (this is also great grilled like grill cheese).
- Fresh Yeast Rolls - wife works in the local school lunch room and is their baking guru. So of course she is the keeper of that wonderful "super secret school lunch room roll" recipe.
- Pulled Pork - smoked over hickory of course and with a finishing sauce for reheating before serving today.
- Cornbread - in a cast iron skillet of course.
- Bunny Buns - Cinnamon rolls (made from the same base recipe as the yeast rolls) with "ears" added to look like bunny heads, then after glazing, decorated with icing to make bunny heads.
