Happy 4th everyone. I am at the in law’s cottage in Michigan. We had a good 4th.
Started the day off on the beach in the morning and saw a bald eagle fly overhead. A good omen!
Had my son (age 3) out in a kayak on the lake and saw the presidential choppers fly LOW overhead. Unexpected and something I won’t forget (assume the pres was not on them, but still both of them flying in formation).
Grilled the wife, kids, and in laws some brats for lunch.
Continued the day by getting onto the water in the sunfish (mini one person sail boat), then had a few beers.
Then started a camp fire and made pie iron pizzas for everyone. Nothing fancy but a satisfying dinner, and the kids got a kick out of campfire cooking.
Fireworks and more beers to come. Happy 4th to all.
