  I need to make some cash and I have no other back-up other than my Smoker Skills. I have thought of a lot of routes to go , but$$.

  I was wondering if I got some Bussiness cards and gave them out to (locals),would I get Busted

.

  I was a chef and hold to all the safety crap. Ijust want to make some to help with bills.

  What say the big guys?What can they do to me?I'm already 62y/o,I won't last in jail(couldn't pay the fines),and too crippled up to work and the SS is no help(darn Gov.)sorry!

All sorts of permits and inspections to go thru.  If you think your Socialist Security is a pain, just try starting a business!  Then you have liability.  All sorts if insurance issues to deal with.  Financially, will the business be sufficiently capitalized?  Being an old guy, I am not up to facing all that, even though that is where my training and experience have been.

As popular as bbq and smoking is on the tube right now offer  BBQ /sausage/ smoking   lessons.  Might be something a wife would give her husband for a weekend.  Talk to your friends and offer to help out at their next office party   remember Christmas is around the corner.

Let the word out that you are willing to smoke meat for your friends and their friends.  Let them provide the meat and you sell smoker time.  If you just keep it small among friends you can generate a couple hundred a month.

You know I was trying to figure out a "go around" and I think alblancher is on to

something. You're still going to have to pay taxes on it, but with the knowledge you

have, you could very well teach and grab a couple hundred a week.

Be slow starting, but once the word got out, you could turn it into all kinds of

compartmentalized lessons. One week Briskets, one week ribs, etc.

Hmnn.... Even get your lessons on video or in print and sell them at the lesson,

$25 a pop. Men always get excited at things like this and out comes the wallet.

I don't think this would be a care free thing..Just need one butthead friend of a friend to say he was ill and stick some miserable lawyer in yer business.... you may not have much,but they will take all of it.
