Yeah I know, but I didn't know where to post this. And I'm kinda ticked off. Wife went down to get something out of the freezer and everything was thawed. And something stunk so it's been thawed for a while. Last I can remember opening it was Thanksgiving and it was fine then. I lost one 14 pound turkey, a nice venison back strap, a beef heart, some steaks, and other stuff. Total about 35 or 40 pounds of meat is now out at the curb for trash pickup.

Breaks my heart.

While I was cleaning out the freezer, I cleaned out the fridge we have down there as well. So now they're both empty and unplugged. Maybe the money I save leaving them unplugged will eventually add up to enough to replace some of that lost meat.

Grrrrrr

Doh! Man that sucks. I know how you feel. About 5 years ago I came home from a 7-day cruise to find my refrigerator/freezer circulating warm air (the compressor died, but the motor kept running). Needless to say the five pounds of frozen salmon in the freezer did not survive......
