Hello chileheads,

The following link is where i get my Chimayo chile powders, I use both mild and hot in my rubs. They don't carry the whole dried Chimayo chile, which would bw great to grind as needed. I do grind other seeds/spices as needed, they seem fresher than when they just lay around. That's the main reason I try not to buy powdered spices in the market.

Here's a place that sells live chile plants. Unfortunately, the plants are out of season right now... BUT, in September, you can buy FRESH chilies from them in many different varities and have them on your doorstep..

Even the Bhut Jolokia which will sizzle the skin off your tongue with its 1,000,000 SHU rating!
